Coachella’s been and gone *FOMO face*. But wipe away those tears, because there’s more to summer than California dreaming. There are seriously cool festivals taking place all over the world this year, and in celebration of our World Festival Trend, here is our 2017 festival hit list.
1. Hangout Festival, USA // 19th – 21st May
Set on the coast of Alabama, this is the ultimate music vacay for your entire girl squad. And with varied acts from the likes of Mumford & Sons, Twenty One Pilots and Frank Ocean to Major Lazer, the party’s set to be totally cool and eclectic. Beach babes ASSEMBLE! Pack your flower crown and some glitter because you’ll be raving for days on end!
WHERE: The beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama
WHAT TO WEAR: Our Ecru Embroidered Triangle Tassel Bikini
This is Malta’s best kept secret, made for hippies and hipsters alike! ;) If you want to hit up a festival that no-one else has heard of yet, make sure you go to Earth Garden Festival this summer. It’s too cool for words and although it’s not set on a beachfront, you’ll never be too far away from the coast on this idyllic island.
WHERE: In the beautiful town of Attard
WHAT TO WEAR: Our Aqua Printed Embellished Jumpsuit
3. Electrobeach Music Festival, France // 13th – 15th July
Electrobeach is a festival that is up and coming and we’re giving you the inside track before the mainstream takeover (shh). It’s the biggest and hottest French festival for electronic music, gaining more popularity with the rest of the world every year. Plus diehard EMD fans can expect live sets from legendary DJs, including Eric Prydz, David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Calvin Harris and more!
WHERE: The beaches of Le Barcarès
WHAT TO WEAR: Our Banana Print Cross Back Stitch Swimsuit
As seen on Charlotte Fisher from Things I Do, Think and Buy
4. Soundwave Festival, Croatia // 27st – 31st July
Croatia has long carried the crown as the best destination for boutique festivals. But what makes Soundwave a ‘must’ this year is its unique musical spectrum. Whilst so many of Cro Cro’s festivals are designed for house purists, Soundwave incorporates a whole mix of sounds. Including hip hop, jazz, reggae, funk and disco, electronica, drum and bass, and broken-beat. With just 3 stages (plus a load of boat parties, woohoo!), this is a compact event that can be as chilled or as chaotic as you like.
WHERE: The Garden Tisno (halfway between Split and Zadar)
WHAT TO WEAR: Our Melonie Red Watermelon Bikini
